What’s a lesson from your childhood that has proven valuable as a businessperson?
One of the most valuable lessons from my childhood came from my parents and the way they approached starting over. I grew up in a household shaped by migration, adaptability, and responsibility. I am a first-generation Canadian in practice; even though I was born in Berlin, I moved to Canada when I was two. But, because of this move, my parents taught me early that stability is something you build, not something you are guaranteed.
They modeled resilience in very practical ways: working hard, adjusting to new systems, and taking responsibility even when things were unfamiliar. From them, I learned how to be self-directed, how to move between different worlds, and how to take initiative instead of waiting for certainty. That lesson has stayed with me. It is what allows me to juggle being a student while building projects, to step into new spaces confidently, and to trust myself to figure things out as I go.
Who has been an inspiration on your entrepreneurial journey?
My parents have been my first and most steady inspiration, not only because of what they have overcome, but because they are genuinely talented and capable people. They have shown me what it looks like to build a life with skill, discipline, and integrity and to keep your standards high even when no one is watching. A lot of how I lead and how I handle pressure comes directly from them.
My friends inspire me for the same reason. They are talented, driven, and thoughtful, and being close to people who take their own lives seriously pushes me to keep growing. They also keep me balanced in a way that matters: they hold me accountable, they encourage me, and they make sure I stay connected to who I am while I am building toward what I want.
What are three core principles that shape your vision for your business?
Seriousness and care: I build with warmth, but I do not treat the work casually. People’s time and trust matter to me.
Substance over optics: I would rather create something honest and meaningful than something that only looks impressive.
Consistency: I trust steady follow-through more than hype. I try to build things that last.
Special Abilities or Claims to Fame
I am a trained singer and dancer, and I competed in dance for many years. Performing from a young age taught me discipline, confidence, and how to show up fully in front of people. That experience shaped the way I carry myself, communicate, and lead. Being comfortable on stage has translated into a strong presence in academic, community, and leadership spaces, and it has helped me connect with people in a natural, grounded way.
