What are your ‘Super Powers’ ?
I am passionate about uplifting individuals in our community, particularly by empowering them to go after their goals and also take on leadership roles they are passionate about. I thrive on motivating others to realize and maximize their God-given talents. My goal is to transform integrity into a significant impact at scale, fostering a culture of excellence and service.
Your entrepreneurial story
I set out to solve problems that institutions kept normalizing.
I started my career inside the system as a physician, where I quickly realized that excellence alone doesn’t fix inequity. I watched capable Black patients receive delayed diagnoses. I watched Black trainees struggle without mentorship. I watched Black physicians carry disproportionate burdens with minimal structural support. The gap wasn’t talent. The gap was infrastructure. So I joined in building what didn’t exist.
My current ventures that don’t build direct profit to me are structures: leadership tables, advocacy platforms, mentorship pipelines, and community-anchored organizations. I learned early that real entrepreneurship isn’t about products; it’s about ownership of solutions.
As I took on leadership roles, hospitalist, clinical professor, board and governance work I understood something clearly: that systems don’t change from the outside alone. They change when you can speak the language of power and the language of people.
Founding and leading physician organizations, planning large-scale events, influencing policy conversations, and shaping leadership pipelines taught me how to:
- Align mission with money
- Turn credibility into leverage
- Build trust across communities and institutions
My entrepreneurship sits at the intersection of healthcare, leadership, advocacy, and equity. I don’t hope to chase trends but build durable platforms that last beyond me.
Today, my work is about scale:
- Scaling influence
- Scaling revenue ethically
- Scaling systems that protect and advance Black excellence in healthcare
Entrepreneurship, for me, is simple: See the gap, be involved in building the structure, lead with integrity. scale with intention.
