In my 11 years of experience as an Edmonton Public School Board teacher I have had the good fortune of teaching multiple courses in my career. My first experiences as a teacher were with the Behavior Leaning department and the Interactions department. I later moved into the areas of Social Studies, Physical Education and English Language Arts. In addition to teaching I have been a volunteer Men’s basketball coach for over 19 years at high school and university levels. In terms of my non academic commitments I was a teacher sponsor for our school’s “Black student Alliance” Student advocacy group. This group was in charge of all of the Black History month festivities at our school for all 4 years of our group's existence.I am currently a member and co-founder of the Black Teachers Association of Alberta and we have been working hand in hand with the ATA on numerous initiatives since June of 2020.
