Okwuchi Nnani is a seasoned professional and dedicated community leader, currently serving as the Director of Stakeholder Relations in the Office of the Premier of Alberta. With over 25 years of experience in Land Surveying and Geomatics, his career has spanned four countries—Nigeria, Jamaica, Canada, and the USA—giving him a truly global perspective in his field. A Geomatics Engineer by profession, Mr. Nnani earned a Bachelor of Science in Surveying from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and a Master of Engineering in Geomatics Engineering from the University of New Brunswick, Fredericton, Canada. His expertise was further solidified when he obtained his Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation from APEGA in 2016. Before stepping into public service, he spent 15 years in Alberta’s oil and gas sector, contributing significantly to the industry. Beyond his professional achievements, Mr. Nnani is a passionate advocate for community development and cultural engagement. Since moving to Edmonton in 2007, he has played a pivotal role in the Igbo Cultural Association of Edmonton (ICAE), where he served as Public Relations Officer for four years before being elected President. Under his leadership, ICAE flourished into one of Alberta’s most vibrant ethno-cultural organizations. His commitment to fostering unity and cultural pride remains steadfast, as he continues to support ICAE’s initiatives.
